MD. PhD
Dr. Yi-Hsing Chen is a Professor of Medicine at China Medical University, Taiwan, and an attending physician in the Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology at China Medical University Hospital. She is dedicated to the research and treatment of allergic, immunologic, and rheumatic diseases. Dr. Chen graduated from the School of Medicine, China Medical University in 1991, and completed her residency and fellowship at Taichung Veterans General Hospital. She earned her PhD in Molecular Allergology from Tunghai University (2004–2009) and furthered her training at the Johns Hopkins Asthma and Allergy Center (2002–2003) and Harvard Medical School’s Program for Leading Innovations in Health Care and Education.
She has served as Director of the Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology at Taichung Veterans General Hospital (2013–2019), Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Medicine (2018–2024), and Director of the Health Management Center (2023–2024). She is a former Vice President and Executive Board Member of the Chinese Society of Immunology, and former Secretary-General of the Taiwan College of Rheumatology. She remains an active board member of both societies. Known for her attentive and compassionate patient care, she was named one of Taiwan’s Top 100 Physicians by Business Weekly in 2009.
