All kinds of harm may lurk in the workplace of each industry. When occupational disasters occur, its knock-on effects such as labor shortages or even post-disaster care are worthy of social attention. As the central region is a labor intensive area consisting of many processing zones, small and medium-sized factories, and scientific industrial parks, the government pays attention to all its attendant occupational hazards. As a result, the hospital since 2005 has been commissioned by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration under the Ministry of Labor to carry out the Occupational Injury and Disease Control Center Program.
Occupational hazards include "occupational injuries" resulting from performing duties and "occupational diseases" derived from exposure to long-term job hazards. The center aim to offer workers sustaining occupational hazards medical care and vocational rehabilitation leading to their return to work as well as launch a workplace safety campaign to prevent labor from being injured again.
