CMUH's 3D Printing Medical R&D Center holds a seminar on the application 3D printing in orthopedics and rehabilitation at the Splendor Hotel Taichung, where Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Engineering Research Center of Digital Medicine, Ministry of Education director Dai Kerong is invited to deliver a keynote speech on “The current situation and future of the application of 3D printing technology in the medical field.”

On January 17, 2015, China Medical University, Taiwan signed a memorandum of understanding with the Georgia Tech, with the aim of building a top 3D printing medical R&D center across Asia and even the world.
With CMUH's huge medical market and the Georgia Tech's engineering technology for industry-academia-hospital collaboration, CMUH is expected to become a medical system with the most cases in one or two years and build a top 3D printing medical R&D center across Asia and even the world. In the years that follow, it is to become a relevant technology export unit.
CMUH established the first 3D printing medical R&D center nationwide on September 14, 2014.
