Patients with allergy for “Asthma” or people with family history of such illness should pay attention to the daily prevention and care work to avoid the various inducing factors and reduce likelihood of occurrence:
- Pay attention to changes in climate and temperature. Keep warm to prevent catching cold.
- Avoid contact with irritating gas, dust and pollen. Smokers should quit smoking and avoid second-hand smoke.
- Pay attention to the cleaning of environmental health and prevent humidity. Avoid stuffed toys and use dust mite free furniture.
- Avoid getting excessively fatigue and emotional stimulation.
- Proper exercise can gradually boost the physique, such as strolling, Tai-Chi, jogging, and Qi gong. Other more intense activities (such as swimming and running) are also suitable. Nonetheless warmup exercise must be carried out before the exercise.
- If you are likely to experience asthma after exercise, avoid activities with more intensity.
Eat light and avoid cold, spicy, fatty and greasy food such as alcohol, fish with strong smell, shrimp, crab, streaky pork, and strong tea. Do not over eat or drink.
