Care after Circumcision 包皮環切手術後注意事項

Local anesthesia or general anesthesia (for children or uncooperative patients)is used for this surgery. Sorethroat occurs within a few days after the procedure if using general anesthesia. The condition will go away automatically.
Gauze pads are used to cover up the wound and can be taken off 24 hoursafter the procedure. Apply antibiotic ointment and no need to cover the wound with gauze pads. However, loose pants are recommended.
If gauze pads are used, soak the gauze pads with water 2 days after the procedure then take off the gauze pads. Apply antibiotic ointment 2-3 times a day.
Wash the wound with warm water 48 hours after the procedure. Dry well and apply antibiotic ointment to the wound
Three days of pain relief pills and antibiotics will be prescribed depending on the post operation conditions to prevent complication.
The wound will heal in about 7-10 days. The suture string is absorble and will be absorbed in about 2 weeks.
Contact your surgeon or go to emergency room if the wound does not stopbleeding and the penis is swelling.
