Diet

• After waking from anesthesia, you may drink a small amount of warm water first. Once you are not experiencing nausea or vomiting, you may start a light, mild diet.
• Within 1 week after surgery, avoid foods containing ginseng, sesame oil, or alcohol.

Medication

□If prescribed, take the medication as directed.

□Take oral medicine according to the instructions, usually after each of the three meals.

□Apply the ointment three times a day as directed.

Styptic cotton in the vagina can stop bleeding

□No styptic cotton is placed in the vagina.

□Styptic cotton is placed in the vagina (dark brown, small residue), which will be naturally discharged after a few days. Do not be alarmed.

Self-care Precautions

• Get more rest on the day of the operation.
• During postoperative bleeding or within 2 weeks after surgery, avoid sexual intercourse, vaginal douching, and inserting vaginal suppositories.

Symptoms requiring immediate emergency medical attention

• Abdominal pain
• Vomiting
• A fever over 38 ℃
• Massive vaginal bleeding
• Malodorous vaginal discharge
