Purpose of Examination
- To monitor the content of oxygen and carbon dioxide in arterial blood to evaluate the gas exchange in the lungs.
 - To evaluate the acid-base balance in vivo.
 - To monitor the severity of disease progression as a reference for treatment.
 - To help medical staff evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory therapy for patients.

Indications

Comorbidity
- Causes of comorbidity: frequent extraction, improper puncture, or misoperation.
 - Common comorbidities: hematoma, tissue damage, thrombosis, poor peripheral blood circulation, numbness, infection, etc.
 - After a puncture, the patient should be assisted or his family members asked to apply pressure to the puncture site for at least 5 minutes to stop the bleeding and check for any comorbidity.
