Mammography is a low-dose X-ray that can detect a variety of breast tumors, cysts and other lesions, helping to detect breast cancer early and reduce its mortality.

Test requirements

• Those eligible under the National Health Insurance (NHI) program:

1. Women aged 45 to 70 years old, who have not received mammography in 2 years.
2. Women aged 40 to 44 years old, whose relatives within two degrees of kinship (mother, daughter, sister, paternal grandmother or maternal grandmother) have had breast cancer, and who have not received mammography in 2 years.

• People can make an appointment by telephone at (04-22052121 ext. 14821, 14823), or register on site depending on the workload that day. If they cannot be examined that day, they can make another appointment (be sure to carry the NHI card with you).
• For first-time patients, please fill out a first-time visit form at the cashier and registration counter, and then report to the radiation counter. It is suggested that you register half an hour before the examination time.
• On-site registration: Please make an appointment at the "cancer screening station" on the first floor of the Lifu medical building or the first floor of the cancer center building.
• Screening time:
• Monday-Friday morning at 08:30-12:00
• Monday-Friday afternoon at 13:30-17:00
• Screening results will be sent by post (A paper report will take 2-3 weeks of processing time).
• Women with screening results of (1) and (2) should be screened regularly every 2 years.
• Women with screening results of (3) are required to receive a follow-up exam 6 months later.
• Women with screening results of (0), (4), and (5) are required to return to the hospital for further examination.
• For those who need reexamination, please register with the breast cancer surgery clinic and follow the general outpatient procedure for consultation and fees.
