- If necessary, follow the doctor's instructions to supplement vitamins and minerals.
Diet for patients with dumping syndrome
- After palliative gastrectomy, most patient experience symptoms such as cold sweat, systemic weakness, dizziness, palpitations, abdominal pain, diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms 10 to 15 minutes after eating (early dumping syndrome), others have symptoms one to four hours after eating (late dumping syndrome) due to the rapid passage of food through the gastrointestinal tract.
- For patients with dumping syndrome, please refer to the "Dietary Guidelines for Patients with Dumping Syndrome".
