2024/12/4
  • Reduce the movement of the affected limb, but if there is no discomfort, move the fingers and toes of the limb to promote circulation and reduce swelling.
  • Ice packing can be used on the affected area within 48 hours after the trauma, but ice cubes should not be placed on the skin directly. A towel or handkerchief should be used to pad the affected area, and then hot compress can be applied 48 hours after injury.
  • When the affected limb is fixed with an elastic bandage, if it is too tight (the end of the affected limb is cold, numb or the skin color turns purple) or too loose, it should be re-tied.
  • If there is a wound on the affected area, the dressing should be changed frequently to keep it clean and dry.
  • Please follow up at the clinic within 3 days.
  • A triangle scarf can support the upper limbs.

In the following cases, please return to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible

  • There was swelling and cold, numbness, and severe pain at the end of the limb.
  • The wound has redness, swelling, heat, pain, and even developed with fever.
