Precautions before operation
- All possible treatments should be discussed in detail with your doctor and photographs should be taken before and after surgery for reference and documentation.
- Preparation for the area where hair is removed: hair must be at least 1 inch long to cover surgical site.
- The operation can be done under local anesthesia, so there is no need to fast on the day of operation.
- On the day of the operation, please take off all accessories, wear no makeup, and report to the operation room of the Aesthetic Medical & Surgery Center.
Precautions after operation
- After the operation, there may be slight bleeding, which can be gently removed with gauze.
- The wound should be wrapped in gauze bandages after surgery, and dressing should be changed upon return visit.
- Do not wash your hair within 1 week after surgery. If you cannot tolerate not washing your hair for 1 week, you must wash your hair with cold boiled water. You can return to your normal hair washing schedules after 1 week, but you can't scratch your scalp.
- The stitches can be taken out at the part where the hair was removed after 2 weeks.
- Do not lie flat within 1 week after surgery, and raise the head about 45 degrees when sleeping to promote swelling reduction.
- Within 1 month before and after the operation, stimulating food should be avoided, such as alcohol, tobacco, spicy food and so on.
- Do not pick up the scab at the part where hair is transplanted within 2 weeks, and the scab will fall off naturally within 2-3 weeks.
- Start applying the hair tonic 2 weeks after the operation, and the implanted hair roots will grow new hair about 3-5 months later.
- Do not have your hair permed or dyed within 1 month after surgery.
- For hair transplants in the same area, the interval should be 3 to 4 months.
