Fall prevention (More attention is required particularly in 2 weeks after the treatment)
- Pay attention to the body balance and prevent falling, particularly when taking a bath, going to the bathroom or doing mild exercises. Make sure to have someone accompany you.
- If the patient wobbles in walking, use a walker.
- Change the position and move slowly. Make sure you do not feel dizzy or uncomfortable before making the next move. (i.e. Sit up for some time, make sure you do not feel dizzy or uncomfortable before getting out of bed. After getting out of bed and when standing, make sure you can stand steadily without feeling dizziness before walking around).
- You can take a shower or dress up while sitting down. Ask for assistance from the caregiver when necessary.
- Take some rest when possible.
Wound care
- Keep the head wound dry. You can use a damp towel to clean the head, but avoid getting the wound wet for one week after treatment.
- Change of dressing will not be necessary once the wound forms scars.
