質子治療是治療癌症先進的粒子射線療法，中醫大附醫今年啟用運作的質子治療中心是台灣中部最先提供質子放射治療的醫療院所，已收治多名病患，獲得良好反應。其中兩名直腸癌病患顯示腫瘤明顯縮小，持續進行下一步手術等治療。中醫大附醫推動新南向計畫，將此質子治療成果與經驗推廣到馬國，受到高度關注與熱烈討論。

Renowned authority on burn and head & neck reconstruction, Professor Mark Fisher from The Johns Hopkins Hospital, along with Dr. Huang Hui-Fu, President of the Taiwan Society for Burn Injuries and Wound Healing, and Executive Director Huang Hui-Fen of the Childhood Burn Foundation of the Republic of China, paid an in-depth visit to the Burn Center at China Medical University Hospital.

Our reconstructive microsurgery team in the Surgical and Plastic Surgery Departments led by Professor Hung-Chi Chen developed breakthrough reconstructive microsurgery technology known as “Problem Solving for Amputation Crisis-Vascular Cable Flaps", which significantly reflects the reconstructive characteristics of tissue engineering. It’s a very challenging reconstructive microsurgery and it won the 17th National Innovation Award.

One female patient working as the counter personnel at the department store had a sever car accident a few years old. Her face was hit from the accident, suffering major trauma and bone fracture.
